Meet Our Staff

Bill Varga, Executive Director

Mic Bowen, CPA, MAcc, Director of Operations and Finance

Mic Bowen received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting and Taxation from Brigham Young University. Additionally, Mic has an extensive background in healthcare administration as well as financial planning. Mic’s primary responsibilities for the Heritage Center include financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and human resource management.

Anjanette Dahle, Living History Program Manager

Anjanette joined the American West as a volunteer in 2007.  She became a program manager in 2009. Her responsibilites include the Valentine Dinner, Living History Activities at all events, Historic Adventures, Fall Harvest, Haunted Hollow, our Christmas Festival, and staffing for our summer season.  She loves hand sewing historical clothing, recreating historical quilts, and cooking anything in a dutch oven.  Her favorite responsibilities are working with the Gunfighters of the American West and creating fun historical events for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Chris Schultz, Programming Manager/Handcart Trekmaster

Chris is a USU Graduated with a B.S. in Sociology and a Certification in Secondary Education. Chris worked summers for the Boy Scouts of America and full time with the Cache Valley Council BSA as a District Executive. He later became a Sales Representative for Lincare Inc. Chris now resides in Richmond Utah with his family and enjoys working for the Bridgerland Applied Technology College and also the American West Heritage Center. He is enjoying using the skills he has learned over the years to help students at BATC and coordinating Camp Rendezvous, Handcart Treks, Bus Tours and Corporate Development for the American West Heritage Center.

Rebecca Moses; Administrative Assisstant
Rebecca Moses grew up in Blanding Utah. She came to Logan to attend school at Utah State and has degree in Parks and Recreation. She joined the American West Heritage Center in 2009. She has done everything out here from mowing the lawn to driving the wagons to answering the phones. Her favorite part of being part of the team at the American West Heritage Center is getting to work with the animals.
