About
Welcome!
The American West Heritage Center sits at the foot of the majestic Wellsville Mountains on U. S. Highway 89/91 in Utah’s magnificent Cache Valley, the most scenic route to Jackson Hole, WY and Yellowstone National Park, and just 70 miles north of Salt Lake City. The Heritage Center offers a variety of activities for individuals and families, as well as group tours and vacations. Whether you are passing through Cache Valley or making it your destination, the Center will be one of your favorite stops along the western frontier.
We are a nonprofit organization devoted to celebrating and preserving the heritage of our area, which is Cache Valley, Utah, and its surrounding regions. We do this primarily through living history activities, events, school programs, exhibits, and outreach activities. We also rent some of our buildings for weddings, meetings, conferences and other events so that our site can be enjoyed in this way, too.
