Countdown to Pioneer Day








Come and explore the Heritage of Cache Valley as we celebrate the bravery and tenacity of our pioneer ancestors. Join our living history interpreters and learn all about the history of Cache Valley ranging from the early settlers in 1820 to 1920 Farm Life!

Spend some time learning about our flag by watching an opening flag ceremony at 10:00 am. Then at 1:00 pm, see the proper way to retire a flag.

Two-Man Log Saw

Grab a friend or family member and see how well you can use the log saw.

Jackson Fork Demonstration

At 4:00 pm, see the process of moving hay into the barn by use of the Jackson Fork.

Pioneer Parade

Dress your kids up in time period clothing, decorate your bikes, and participate in our Pioneer Parade at 11:00 am.

Pony Rides

Children 12 and under (weighing less than 100 pounds) can enjoy a pony ride.

Train Rides

Kids can enjoy a ride on our ¼ scale train.

Bison Tours

Take a wagon ride through our bison herd. Listen as our educated staff tells you all about these magnificent creatures. 

11:30am-1:30pm – $3 upgrade per guest

1917 Jensen Farm

Come celebrate 1917. See what life was like a century ago.

Pioneer Settlement

Learn how to make a knot doll, play pioneer games, and tour hand-made structures.

Mountain Man Traders Cabin

Visit the Mountain Man Traders Cabin. Throw a tomahawk, write with a quill pen, and learn where the “Cache” in Cache Valley comes from.
